Construction Complete: Winter 2022

Vista Verde Phase 1 a current  affordable rental housing project that is close to reaching full lease out.  In August of 2019, the Town hired Gorman & Company to pursue the 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC).  In May of  2020, Gorman received the 9% LIHTC award from CHFA.  The 9% LHTC award makes it possible for Verde Vista Phase 1 to achieve rental rates as low as 60% AMI and below.  In addition, The Town also received a $650,000 grant for solar panels from DOLA that The Town will match. The project goal is to achieve net zero designation, which means the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site. The Vista Verde Phase 1 project opened in December of 2022.
